It was my 30th birthday at the beginning of May! I decided to get out of town to celebrate and visit this little mountain town I had been hearing so much about. San Miguel de Allende, the magic is real.
All of these were taken on my iphone and edited with VSCO
The airbnb was tré cute!
Café Jardin Rama | I LOVED this spot. Had my birthday breakfast here and the best tequila I’ve ever tasted. I hate hard liquor so that’s saying something.
La Gruta Hot Springs | Look at that little mysterious cave you can explore! ^
Mama Mia Restaurant | Those lanterns…We stumbled into a live salsa band here Saturday night too.
He didn’t bark at us, whatta good boy.
View from the 2nd terrace of our airbnb. Such a sweet spot!
A man from the coffee shop next door (Café Eluney, mmm those quesadillas) gave us a tour of this hidden gem of an alley. Wish I could remember the name…go ask them if you visit!
El Tupinamba | Any time we walked past this place there was live music and a fun atmosphere. We stopped in for Flamenco night, such good vibes and a passionate performance by the first male flamenco dancer I’ve ever seen.
We told the taxi driver to take us to his favorite taco place. We could not stop eating these. A hole in the wall near the main square, go find her!
Lavanda Café | A very popular breakfast spot, live guitar music, just swell.

I just loved this town and these beautiful people I got to experience it with. We didn’t have time to visit Guanajuato, that’s #1 on the list for next time. Also…blog post on the Chapel of Jimmy Ray coming soon!!
