See that little babe up there? That’s Lila ❀ the beautiful new addition to this beautiful family. We had such a fun time playing around on the beach outside of the Jonathan Club on this sunny summer day. The sand crabs were a big hit, it took me back to the days when I used to hunt for them as a kid. Oh the joys of summer, family, and makin memories – thanks for all the fun in the sun Daniell!

D’Angeles and Evelyn…what a loving and fun and rambunctious and crazy beautiful duo. We had a gorgeous summer portrait session together to document their mother daughter bond in the gardens of Pasadena. Luckily we scheduled our session before the massive heat wave last week, the weather was perfect and the photos turned out pretty perfect too. Take a look!

What a lovely way to spend a Sunday morning. This darling family invited me out to document their time at the riding center, tucked away in a beautiful party of Brentwood, and to also capture some of mama’s new baby bump! It reminded me of long ago when I attended a horse camp, all I can recall is I won 1st place in grooming…don’t think the riding part went quite as well. I’m happy to see Hannah has more of a way with horses than I do. Enjoy!

These boys were too much fun! That joyful energy…it definitely rubs off on you. Descanso was as lovely as ever, it even felt like fall (in LA!?) with the gorgeous yellow leaves adorning the trees and falling to the ground. We made our way by a family of ducks in a pond, a mini train track, and ended in the gorgeous rose garden. These boys obviously have so much love for each other (and karate chops), too cute. Such a lovely portrait session, thanks for the fun morning Lara and fam!

I first met Evalyn a few months back at her 1st birthday party in Santa Monica. This time around I got to meet her best furry pal Finley too who was probably the most excited pup ever to be at the beach. We had a nice leisurely stroll along the shore and ended up at some gorgeous rock formations at the south end of the beach. Evalyn ran and played near the waves like it was no biggie, obviously a beach babe at heart. Such a beautiful day at Leo Carrillo with the loveliest family, enjoy!

Had my first round of holiday mini sessions last weekend and my oh my we had a great time! It was an especially beautiful day in Palos Verdes, storm clouds loomed in the distance and the sun peeked it’s head out now and again. I can’t even believe how smoothly it went, everyone was on time!? When does that ever happen when you’re getting little ones out of the house. So thankful for the lovely day with the loveliest families. I picked out just a few of my favorites to share, enjoy!

This was such a fun shoot. Mia and her family live right below the mountains in Altadena, just a hop skip and a jump away from my favorite local waterfall trail. More importantly, they have their own little animal farm happening right in their backyard! I think baby goats might be the cutest little things I’ve ever seen. (Has anyone tried goat yoga? Where goats jump all over you when you exercise? I really want to try…)

I think Sarah (Sophie’s lovely mother) is going to start a new trend – surfboard cake smashes. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything quite like it and I’m so into it! Keep scrolling to the end and you’ll see the magic that unfolds. We had such a lovely early morning shoot by the Annenburg Beach House in Santa Monica. Sophie started the session with a face full of smiles and a left the session with a belly full of sand. Life is good. Shout out to Sarah for all the creative props and stylings you’re about to see!

I was there when these two met. Mj was the creative director of the shoot, Sam was the model, and I was totally clueless that a romance was simmering. First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes this crazy cute baby that I had to meet in person asap! Yep, I couldn’t find any creative way to rhyme with marriage so I didn’t even go there.
I brought along my film camera to the visit because, as you probably know from my previous posts, I’m obsessed with 35mm at the moment. This time I was shooting with Fuji 400h.
