This little guy had never touched grass before. I was so honored to capture this first experience, even if it was hard to get him to look up after he discovered it! I understand, grass is pretty cool. We had such a beautiful shoot with the vibrant cherry blossoms and newly green trees, New York in Spring is magical. This was my second to last shoot in NYC! I am back in Los Angeles now with my good friend the sun. NYC, I will see you in August.

Alex Asks Gina | NYC Proposal Photographer

I was camouflaging as a tourist, just enjoying the view of the city and snapping photos with my fancy camera. I was worried Gina would spot me and suspect something…but she didn’t even know I was there until Alex pointed me out after the proposal had been done for quite some time! Proposals are so surreal, a magic mist of surprise/excitement/confusion surrounds the couple. I probably could have been inches away and not been noticed. On the other hand, their dog knew I was there the whole time. Enjoy this surprise proposal and family gathering!

I did not even realize I caught the champagne flying in the air, so happy I did.

I’ve shot with these lovelies for years and every shoot day has been filled with bright blue skies and perfect weather. Last week we met up at the Griffith Observatory to TOTAL cloud coverage…but we embraced it! Why not something new, eh? Playing in the clouds turned out pretty amazing if you ask me…

This might be my last blog post for a bit, holidays and travel plans soon to come.

I will be in Brooklyn next year from the end of January to the end of April, message me to set up a snow shoot! Or if you have any tips for surviving winter in NYC!

Home for the Holidays – Brentwood Family Portrait Photography

Home shoots are the best! And yes, this is winter in California…you can wear shorts and dresses…why would anyone leave? (see writing at end of post)

Brooklyn is calling! I will be in New York from the end of January until April. Trading this temperate California winter for an icebox, am I nuts? Will I survive? Only time will tell…
